Harrasment Information Center (AIITA-HIC)

A. Purpose & Overview

The Harassment Information Center of the All India ITF Taekwon-Do Association (AIITA) is established to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and members.

This center exists to:

  • Prevent harassment, discrimination, bullying, and misconduct.
  • Provide a confidential reporting channel.
  • Conduct fair, unbiased investigations.

  • Protect the rights and welfare of all participants.
  • Promote an ethical martial arts environment aligned with ITF values.

B. Policy Content (For Website/Rulebook)

1. What Constitutes Harassment?

Harassment includes, but is not limited to:

  • Verbal harassment: insults, threats, abusive language.
  • Physical harassment: unwelcome physical contact, intimidation.
  • Sexual harassment: inappropriate comments, gestures, requests, or actions.
  • Digital harassment: offensive messages, cyberbullying.
  • Discrimination: based on gender, caste, religion, disability, ethnicity, age, orientation.
  • Power harassment: misuse of authority by coach/official.

2. Rights of Members

Every AIITA member has the right to:

  • Learn and train in a safe environment.
  • Report misconduct without fear of retaliation.
  • Have complaints handled confidentially and respectfully.
  • Receive support and protection during investigations.

3. Reporting Process

  • Submit complaint using the HIC Complaint Form (online/offline).
  • HIC acknowledges receipt within 48 hours.
  • Preliminary review conducted within 7 days.
  •  Investigation & interviews (if required).
  • Final decision issued within 30 days.
  • Disciplinary actions enforced as per AIITA code.

4. Confidentiality

All complaints and identities are strictly confidential and disclosed only to authorized personnel.

5. Possible Actions

  • Warning
  • Suspension from training or events
  • Cancellation of membership
  • Legal referral (if severe)
